Romance, magic, opposing viewpoints, danger, oddly attractive contestants (if you know you know). It gives me everything I want in a movie. Rowling should honestly just put her pen down and let someone else (like me) take it from here. WHICH IS WHY DEATHLY HALLOWS PART 1 ISN’T NECESSARY!!! I think that J.K. The Half-blood Prince was meant to set up the finale and what was going to happen at the end. The Sorcerer’s Stone was meant to introduce the world to Hogwarts and what Harry Potter is and I think that it did a beautiful and lustrous job in doing that. Now I think these are both good movies, but in reality, I think that they serve the same purpose. Tied for 2nd, (yes there is no third place) is The Sorcerer’s Stone and the Half-Blood Prince. I mean, I only watch Harry Potter to see the magic stuff so it was kind of a letdown. I know it was the finale and we finally got to see who killed who, Voldetron (yes I know that’s not his real name don’t attack me) or Harry Potter but a lot of the movie was just brute violence, and there wasn’t a ton of magic stuff. The 4th best movie is Deathly Hallows Part 2. I will partake, but I’m not exactly enthralled. I don’t have anything against them and I think they were crucial to the plot of the whole franchise, but… eh? I feel the same watching these movies as I do eating a slice of Costco pizza. And why did the spiders talk? It was a scene from hell and you couldn’t pay me to watch it again.įor third to least best, I’m clumping together Prisoner of Azkaban and The Order of the Phoenix. Even writing this, I’m getting squirmy just thinking about it. But there are multiple scenes where the main characters almost get eaten by giant spiders and that’s not ok to include in a children’s film. All the elements of a good Harry Potter movie were there. Now, I don’t particularly have anything against this movie. The second worst is the Chamber of Secrets. But the thing is, you need to watch it once in your life because if you don’t you can’t say you’ve watched all the Harry Potter movies. Absolutely nothing happens in the movie and you’re just bored playing 2048 on your phone the entire time. It is one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. The worst Harry Potter film is Deathly Hallows Part 1. To compare and contract objectively from my point of view so no one can disagree with me seems reasonable. To put them in order from best to worst seems like a daunting task. All the mystery and magic are thrilling in each and every movie.
We all know and love the Harry Potter film franchise.
